Abduselam A. Mohamed
Born in Dendema town of Babile district of Somali Region in Ethiopia, Abduselam Abdulahi Mohamed is an Agricultural Economist serving both as an Assistant Professor in Agricultural Economics and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Kabridahar University. In 2012, he obtained BSc in Agricultural Economics from Jimma University. In 2017, he received MSc in Agricultural Economics in Ambo University. Abduselam A. Mohamed has gained a Diploma in Managerial Economics from ALISON and he is a fellow of MSc in leadership at Yardstick International College.
Before he joined to Kabridahar University, Abduselam A. Mohamed worked briefly in Raya University as a Lecturer in the department of Agricultural Economics. Currently, Abduselam A. Mohamed serves as a Vice President for Academic Affairs at Kabridahar University. Prior to his current position, he served at Kabridahar University in different roles including Acting Vice President for Academic Affairs and Research, Director for Student Services Directorate, Director for Research Publication and Technology Transfer Directorate, University Academic Council, Chairman of Research and Publication Ethics Committee, and University management council Member.
Abduselam A. Mohamed (Asst. Prof.) is actively participating in different national and international professional associations and academic journals such as Ethiopian Economic Association, International Society for Development and Sustainability, African Association of Agricultural Economists, Ethiopian Biodiversity Conservation Society, International Association of Agricultural Economists, Reviewer of International Journal of Agricultural Economics, and Reviewer of Greener Scholarly Publications.
Also, Abduselam A. Mohamedi is an active in research and interests in development issues with institutional, regional and national significances. His research interest includes food security analysis, development program impact evaluation, pastoralism and livelihood analysis, development studies, labor economics, economics of food security, agricultural and rural development issues, agricultural policy, agribusiness and marketing, peace and security, resource-based conflict and associated factors, among others. Abduselam A. Mohamed has published several research articles in international scientific journals.
