Vice President for Research and Community Services
Ahmed M. Abdinasir
Ahmed Muhumed Abdinasir serves as a vice president for research and community service at Kabridahar University. He earned a Master’s Degree in International Economics and Public Policy at Trier University in Germany in 2020. Before that, he received a Master’s Degree in Development Management at Hawassa University in 2012 and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics at the University of Gondar in 2007.
Prior to his current role at Kabridahar University, he was a lecturer at the Economics Department of Jigjiga University, and as a planning expert at the Bureau of Somali Regional State Bureau of Finance and Economic Development. In addition, he worked with several NGOs engaged in the delivery of basic services and institutional capacity development in the Somali Regional State for over half a decade.
Currently, Kabridahar University has five research themes:
- Pastoral and Agro-pastoral Livelihoods, Food security, Poverty Alleviation and Rural Development
- Natural Resources Management and Environmental Protection
- Business, Economics and Sustainable Development
- Gender, Human and Social Development
- Basic Science Research
These research themes cover our main academic colleges: Social Sciences and Humanities, Business and Economics, Dryland Agriculture, Natural and Computational Science.
